Announcing new IU Certificate Authority

The IT Security and Policy Office (ITSPO) is announcing a new service regarding reduced-cost SSL server certificates. This new service, the IU Certificate Authority (IUCA), will issue Thawte SSL server certificates to the university community at a significantly reduced cost.

Additionally, the IUCA will provide SSL server certificates for testing/staging/development purposes, as well as for services internal to the university that have a limited number of users, at no cost [1].
